Radioactive Iodine-131 in rainwater sample near San Francisco was 18,100% above federal drinking water standard-
http://enenews.com/radioactive-iodin...water-standard Makes the 3000% in PA seem small....

the US EPA limit on 131I allowed in drinking water of 108 pCi/liter
http://water.epa.gov/drink/contamina...#Radionuclides http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/csem/iodine...gulations.html the news story says that "The federal drinking water standard for Iodine-131 is 3 pCi/L" so the one standard is 3600% higher than the other one... not so sure that 543 Picocuries per liter (pCi/L) is going to hurt anyone, so as a precaution make sure to let your rainwater sit for a few weeks to decay before you drink it (just like it is doing in the snow pack and lakes) |

Well, these folks seem to have covered most everything about what to do in a nuclear emergency....

If you have no problem with 543 Picocuries per liter, go for it. It will head straight for your thyroid. Personally I enjoy having a functioning thyroid gland, but that's just me. That's assuming that we are being told the truth, when in fact we know that in every nuclear power plant problem that has ever existed anywhere, the government and the plant operators have lied about the exposure and the dangers.
