George, It seems I have missed your "always interesting" posts. Just checking in to see how you are and hear about your garden. How old is your garden helper now?
I am still growing a few tomatoes here but not as many as I would like. I miss my friend Merlyn Niedens who grew many of my varieties and shared them with Baker Creek. They and all of us have lost a wonderful man and the contributions he has made in preserving many seed varieties.
Take care and write when you have time.

Springfield is about 42 miles to the west of Mansfield, on US-60. I'm about 7 miles south of Mansfield. Thanks for the invite.

How far are you from Springfield? We're about 14 miles north of 44. You're welcome to come up and go mushroom hunting in my little patch. If you find a few here, you might find some around you.
