Crosbys Egyptian

An improved strain of the Egyptian Beet which we specially recommend as an extra early and superior sort. It has been so improved in shape size appearance and quality as compared with original that is now an entirely distinct variety. It has a large globe-shaped root is smooth of a deep blood color and is of the finest quality. The tops are small. The roots are very dark red moderately thick a little rounded on top distinctly flat on the bottom. The flesh is dark purplish red zoned lighter shade firm crisp and tender.
