Welcome to our forums! This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener! Wishing you great gardening, Jere Gettle |

American Memory has several great photos and posters: http://memory.loc.gov Do a search for "victory Garden" for wwII or "war garden" for wwI. "community garden" pulls up a lot also. Do put the search in quotes " " . Though not specifically war effort (though many are), they do shine a light on the power of local and community organization. |

Well actually i'm wallpapering one wall of my office with these posters.
A collection in a binder on the coffee table would be a good conversation starter.
