Welcome to our forums! This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener! Wishing you great gardening, Jere Gettle |

I'm doing trade offs too, I gave zuchinni and squash to the neighbor, he returns the favor with fresh corn (not sure how he doesn't have coons getting into his yet I have mine ripped to shreds). Just got a new recipe for zuchinni gonna try tonight, tomatoes are coming on big time so will be making salsa soon, chopping and freezing peppers (stuffing some too). Since its just me I can make a nice batch of stuffed peppers, cook them and then seal them individually for my lunches, cabbage rolls too. Do believe I'll be freezing some of the big cabbage leaves this year though so I can just take them out and thaw and use for my cabbage rolls this winter. Gonna try and make garlic powder this year too.
