He isn't even leaving Tacoma until Friday and then driving. He's going to come to TN before heading down to NOLA so it'll be after July 4 before he arrives. I hope this TS isn't a rough one! We've got lots of family in the Baton Rouge area and closely watch every tropical system - will do so even more closely with a son living there for a few years!

Hot here, too; temp and humidity both in the 90's. You have to chew up the air before you can swallow it. Whew!
I don't mind the heat, but the humidity just weighs me down.... Yum! Peppermint ice cream. Haven't had any in ages. Might churn up some soon.

It feels wonderfully warm today at a whopping 59 degrees with the lightest of breezes...WOW
Now about that ice cream....sounds awesome! I love Peppermint with chocolate striping, Butter Pecan, Coffee with chocolate striping, Real Strawberry, Marionberry...oh I do enjoy homemade ice cream every once in a while....I go months in between and then...I just have to make some! |

Speaking of Peppermint, have you ever made homemade mints MVNewf? You make them with powdered sugar whipped into cream cheese and Peppermint extract, dipped in dark or semi sweet melted chocolate and refridgerated...a very cold yummy mint! |
