Mulligan & Farmer -thanks so much for all that info. Yes, I am glad you told me the date of your putting your cabbage out so that I would have a reference point. Like, when do I start wringing my hands that my head of cabbage isn't big enough?

Hosea, take those large green leaves, wrap them around left over rice mixed with whatever cooked leftovers you like, such as beans, shredded beef, hamburger, ham, chicken, season to taste, cover with the last batch of tomato sauce from the freezer and bake long enough to heat everything through and cook the cabbage leaves. Good enough for company!

Thank you for your recipe! Beats just boiling them giants, then putting butter on them. However, I think I am going to steam them first. My ma used to make something called "cabbage rolls" and she would always steam the leaves first. Also, these leaves are massive and would somehow have to be carved up. Or else I could just make 'n' bake one helluva behemoth of a cabbage roll
!
