That's a lot of income...between Miracle Gro and Roundup....and would be hard to replace in today's economy. Monsanto would just "buy" another distributor....I am sure there would be a line forming.

The statement it's self is clear, and incorrect. Live with it and quit trying to justify another person's words. The words were not vague or ambiguous in the least.

Monsanto's round up is not the only card in Scott's hand- they have many products and so to make the statement that you did, "when you support, Scotts, you support Monsanto", it's not only not truly correct, but a bit foolish as well.

I dont care who makes miracle grow. Weighing all options i find it an inferior product myself.... Lots of better options. I had thought monsanto owned scotts though, because others here said it, and I never fact checked it...

I'll do it for her. She was absolutely correct in her post in all of her assertions. If you buy a product from Scotts that is not made by Monsanto, Monsanto does not make a dime.

You know what I find so sadly funny, besides the above quoted post?

That people get so tied up in knots and become blinded to facts, and deny or justify incorrect statements.

Blind hatred is a tough mistress, and leads to damage to the person doing the hating.

Instead of "oops, made a mistake" people jump through hoops and do "death defying ill thought out" justifications to insist what was meant by a simple statement is NOT what was written, but something else.

It's okay to be wrong- everyone is sometimes. <shrug> Human.

To be so blinded that one insists that they said one thing and yet it means another very different thing, is to be a fool.

One doesn't like Monsanto?* Fine, but don't makeup lies or post deliberate misinformation about another company that does business with them, just because they do business with a company you** dislike.

Or, let's see...you don't do business with Monsanto, so you will also not do business with Scott's, since they do business with Monsanto?

If you go for that, then do you also not do business with any seed company who buys non GMO seed or product from any of the companies that are owned or do any sort of business with Monsanto on any level? How far are you willing to take that out to? The fourth, tenth, twentieth degree? Where does it stop?

Geez, it's not like Monsanto doesn't manage to shoot themselves in their own foot enough that you don't have to post lies about their company or who they actually own!


* Reminds me somewhat of the House UnAmerican committee thing, the one with Joe McCarthy? Just being called up before them was to be tar brushed with the negative taint, even without any sort of factual proof of alleged wrong doing.
