Hi everybody!
I've been miserably disapointed by the cheesey forks they carry at nearly all the hardware stores these days. The tines bend easy with my bare hands, they're made from sloppily welded together iron rods with a little rod for a tang that is jammed on the end of a stick and usually works itself loose with use. Not very good at all. Well just a little while ago I came across a small lot of forged stainless steel digging forks with full goose neck sockets, all made in one piece. They were at a clearance house for a ridiculously low price so I bought them all up. I'm keeping two of them for my own personal use, one for a spare because either you can't find them or they cost around $50 before shipping. I was going to sell the rest off at the farmers market but I figured I'd give you guys a first crack at them since heirloom gardeners are the kind of people who tend to understand quality. I'm asking $40 each + whatever the actual shipping works out to be. I'm in Florida. I've attached a pic of the fork I found on the internet. This is exactly like the forks I have except mine have a little logo on the handle. Sorry, I don't have a camera that can take even a halfway decent picture. The head is 7 inches wide, the tines are 11 inches long and the handle is waist high. Last edited by REV127; October 10th, 2007 at 03:44 PM.. |

Just a quick update...
I found my measuring tape, the fork is 39.25 inches in over all length. Shipping to just about anywhere in the Continental United States works out to about $14. Last edited by REV127; October 10th, 2007 at 03:50 PM.. Reason: fixing pic |

Thanks for the endorsement. I wouldn't be selling them if I didn't like them myself.
BTW, if that avatar means what I think it means, congratulations! ![]()

I just got my fork via UPS today and all I can say is WOW! It is a work of art and I can't wait to get it dirty. I fully expect this will be the last fork I have to buy. Thank you very much for a quality tool. I know tools. My day job is restoring old cars and I have paid my dues to the Snap-On man forever to get the best tools available. This one compares well.
