I had a purple obsession a few years ago too! I have retained some purple things: tomatoes, cauliflower, purple stripe beans, cabbage, carrots and given up other things: kohlrabi, purple beans, purple broccoli rabe. I love theme gardens though!

Not really a theme garden, out of the 200 plus varieties of vegetables we're putting out this year, it struck me how many PURPLE plants we had this year.

My favorite variety of kohlrabi is kolibri, which is purple, and very year I try new varieties right next to it, even other purples, and none are as good! They are slower, smaller, turn woody, or all of the above! I have 3 new varieties this year, and only time will tell if kolibri wins out again.
I didn't see purple komatsuna mentioned. I won't be growing that again. It was way smaller than the green, and less productive by far. I didn't get the purple bok choy, but only because I didn't order from anyplace that had it, and I wasn't going to order just that, and pay $7.99 shipping! As for purple pole beans, Blauhilde is the best variety I have found, as it is resistant to rust (which is seems the others were always prone to), and not too bad with the heat, either. It also stays fairly tender even after fairly large. And red noodle beans, while not really purple, are the only variety that keep most of their color AFTER cooking, while most of the purples turn an unappetizing brownish green color when cooked.
