Welcome to our forums! This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener! Wishing you great gardening, Jere Gettle |

"A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions." Yes, that does remind me of someone, but who? ![]() And who is the person on this forum who allegedly loves and respects Thomas Jefferson, but would throw him in jail for growing cannabis? I'm sure the name will come to me in a minute.

Lots of us, you two included. It is a reminder for me and should be for the rest of us not to be so arrogant in our opinions that we refuse to learn.

That's what this country was founded on. And... it's why we have this thing called "jury nullification." Ever heard of it? www.fija.org I've always hated the phrase "law abiding citizen" because that, to me, indicates a sheep. What if Congress passed a law tomorrow that you had to wear Hawaiian shirts every day? Would you obey? That's the point. It is not only our fundamental right as free human beings to disobey/fight/change unjust laws, but it is our duty and birthright as Americans. And if we are powerless to change unjust laws through the legal channels, there's still nothing inherently immoral about simply disobeying them. Ask the British how they lost India. ![]() I guess maybe I just took American history too seriously, huh? There was a word for your type during the first Revolution -- Tory. It was a dirty word. But hey, they were the "law abiding citizens" and the Continentals were just a bunch of criminals.

The right of an American is to peacefully protest and vote politicians out of office if they pass unjust laws. It is not the right or duty of an American to break laws. That is an absurd statement on your part. |
