Darth,
Baker Creek posted an announcement for more growers this spring in the forum, or you can contact any of the employee moderators ... I am working with Randall at seeds@rareseeds.com and they do pay for seed ... you do need to consider factors such as any other gardens that are close enough for cross pollination of the grow out variety ... some varieties require a half-mile of distance LOL Anyway, I had to drive around the neighborhood and check the other gardens to be sure no one else is growing the okra that I am growing out ... so far so good ... their okra should be up by now and I am seeing none LOL althought the humming birds are checking out my okra patch daily ... they would definitely be a concern for unwanted cross-pollination hmmmmmm I guess I *will* have to put the humming bird feeder up next spring to keep the other's out of my garden, they are very territorial LOL I am not sure, but I believe that this fall there will be another call to line up growers for the 2011 season. If I do well this year, I was considering putting in two new beds for next year for larger growout production

Ahhh, but what crops are grown in the fields around your house? LOL If it is all pasture, then you may very well be in an outstanding position to grow out!
How many acres do you have ... just curious

This year I gave Greenzone some peas that I got from the USDA, so that he could have some one do a grow out on them next year I may give him some more pea seeds and perhaps some others. We will see how it goes. I love fresh peas snaps and snows are my favorite but sweet shelling peas are very nice . My one trials on some peas this spring did not go well for me and I ended up with a small amount of seeds compared to what I should have. I have some black or very dark purple pea seeds that are very rare I might turn them in to Greenzone, so that he could find a good grower for them, they do have a very diferent taste to them, but as shelling peas go they are quite good. They date back to the 1700's I have some others also.
I had bad luck with my eggplants this year because of the flea beetles, so I will be trying to get a OP variety that is resistant to them and other diseases I might add them and some tomato seed from Portugual that is if it does well for me and have enough seed for some one to do a grow out on them.
