I like the vintage camera's too especially the large format landscape camera's like Ansel used. I do have a horseman 4 x 5 that I picked up dirt cheap at an auction and some film and the dark slides for it. Took a couple pics but still haven't had them developed/printed. Lately I stay pretty busy with the garden, orchard and my two school aged sons, 9 and 4. Good boys but they keep me and the wife very busy. Used to travel wander a lot when I was a single guy. When the boys get a little older we want to start taking more trips. Probably out west first, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, maybe grand canyon, Yosemite, the redwoods. This country has a lot of beautiful places and good people. Jeff

Ax: A few that come to mind, the current political and economic situation, hot and unusual weather here. General dissatisfaction with government in general.

Uncle was on Okinawa in the '50's, another was there when the Japanese didn't want us to be-Marine in WWII. Man, I remember the trips with the family, especially the early days,---you are wise to wait till they get older- remember and appreciate more. Friend from Wyoming bought a place in Arizona, and invited me out---guess I'll go--they stay in Wyoming for the summer, and back to Az. in the winter. You got a Horseman--cheap--I'm envious matter of fact--beyond that-- ![]() I think I have some 4 by 5 casettes here--seems like they fit a Graflex. If I can find them got pics of the inside of a Russian Skorpian class sub---very interesting, try to rustle them up. |

it's got to be the heat. in the years of the very hot summers the "predator" comes. everyone is off balance because of it.

P.S.Speaking of Blades, got a few Arisaka Bayonets--still looking for a Mukden Arsenal and the one in Korea--forgot the name.Jin Sing?? I don't own one but my cousin Sam does. they are beautiful and have that rosewood handle. I think their blade is longer than our military issue. they aren't to rare and you can buy them from a dealer. not sure of the prices. I'm sure it would be over a hundred to two hundred bucks./B] |

Ax: I am going to attempt to post a few pics. Some close-ups, heavily cropped so they meet the attachment size.
