I am so glad to hear you and your folks made out okay!!!
Too close for comfort though...I was on a sailboat 30 miles from home, anchored in a hurricane hole waiting for bad weather and kept watching those clouds SCREAM by going north and knew someone was getting a helluva bad time. Just didn't know how bad until we made it back home ![]() Take care and if there's some way we can help, please let us know, okay? |

Ax: It is good to hear that you and your family made it through Ok. That was one terrible storm. Glad to hear people in Bama are pulling together to get through the aftermath and start rebuilding.
Grew up in Kansas tornado country so I have seen firsthand what they can do. So unpredictable too I have seen them demolish one house and leave the one 50 feet away almost unscathed. Glad to hear you have a basement, they were required by code in Kansas, basement or storm cellar in order to pass the state occupancy inspection. Were also required on public buildings. Sending some prayers for all of the people affected by these storms. Stay safe Ax. Jeff

We didn't get anything near us. A couple of hours away got EF-1 and EF2 tornadoes, but no reported injuries and no widespread damages.

Wow Ax I was really worried about you and yours. It sound like a really close call. Thank goodness you have a basement and are smart enough to use it.
