Default Re: New seed train in fall for zones 5-7?

OK, here's the tentative list for the combined z5-7 seedtrains one and two:
1, gardencrazy, NY
2, babygarden, NJ
3. sprocket, MI
4. jenwithglasses, PA
5. earthangel, TN
6. lunkergill, WV
7. nut, KY
8. countrylife, MO
9. michelle8, TN
10. tashak3a, NV
If this presents a problem to anyone, let me know by post or pm--just trying to get most of the northernmost places before deep snow, though some of us at the end of the list may get hit by it too.
Also--we may have more winds in the forecast tomorrow and Fri., but I'll try to get the package in the mail before the end of Saturday, and will post when it is sent to the first on list, Gardencrazy. (No post office in my little town.)
EarthAngel, watch out for Memphis ice--I remember when my little Sprite did a complete 360 degree inadvertent circle near the MSU English building.
Lunkergill, do you know what that pink stuff is on the Illinois corn from train one? It was a very generous corn quantity, and a lot of it will be making the rounds again.
I'm snagging some of the various marigold seeds, and the rest will be also making the rounds again for pollenation encouragement.
Gardencrazy, there's a packet of northernmost wildflower seeds in this round--you might want to get some of them if you are encouraging pollenators? Same for sprocket, maybe babygarden and jenwith glasses too.
Let me know how the walking Egyptian onion bulblets from round one do for next year, and how your other stuff does too. Just keep the walking onions out of flooding spots; they seem to do fine with sandy rocky arid spots with occasional water.
Lunkergill, hope someone can put in some Cherokee Purple tomato seeds for you--I can't find any, alas.

That's great! I'll be looking for the package. Just a general reminder, Wednesday is Veteran's Day. So there won't be mail.

good job tasak....looks like a great list. WHen I sent mine out I tried to ensure it wasn't zig zagging...it's also a lot cheaper for riders that way.

Hey Tashak, glad you got some of that corn if you like growing corn you will love that Ol' Illinios. The stalks are medium sized and it's some of the sweetest corn I ever grew. As for the pink stuff I'm not sure what the name of that is but I do know it is a mold and mildew protectant put in place by the seed co. Corn is real bad about molding. Thanks a bunch for all your trouble putting these seed trains together I can't wait to see what comes around this time LOL Have a good day.

I am a little uncertain on the seed train rules. What would we need to do? I would love to join if I can. I am new to gardening so I don't have that many seeds. However, I would be glad to send on what I have.

Mo, this z5-7 train is a repeat (in different order) of those members in the first z5-7 train who sent on seed to the next member on the train, so it is closed to new train members.
You are welcome, however, to consider starting your own seed train, or to read about other seed trains and see if one that suits you is open to new members. (I'd strongly encourage reading in the forum about seed trains present and past, as different trains have different rules. And some are only herbs, others only flowers or vegetables, some restricted to certain zone areas, etc.)
Hope you find a happy resolution. And remember, more trains may be starting up in the spring also.

Good question, lunkergill.
Unless the majority object, shall we keep it on this forum track? You all let me know.
