I have had a few, but mostly vitctim of BER. This is my first real grab and before the 4th. Way more on the vine and a bunch ready in a day or two.
I am going to busy picking fruit, than I will bored. This heat wave has pretty much suspended any more pollination. There are still baby fruits showing up, but with the BER and the heat wave things will slow down until fall. Just like always. I get a big rush than wait, wait, wait, WAIT!!! ![]() Well here's to proving me wrong, this flush will last until the first freeze, hard freeze that is. ![]() ![]() Left to right top row: Sandul Moldovan, Virginia Sweets, Giant Syrian (one of my fav's), Tigerella, Orange Pixie, Lucky Leprachuan, Rebel Yell. Bottom row: Crnkovik Yugoslavian. Grandpa Willie, Sweet Beverly, Moravsky Div.

Beautiful tomatoes and hope you get many more! My season is over til fall planting and I sure miss that homegrown bounty, there really is nothing like that taste! I had 10 weeks of beautiful and great tasting tomatoes before they all went belly up and enjoyed every one. Didn't get to taste a single Rebel Yell though but they're on the list for Sept. planting for sure, thanks for sharing!

Wonderful pix of the luscious tomato bounty. I too have plants that have fallen victim to BER, which is such a frustrating feeling after the time spent caring for an anticipating the harvest. But a few homegrown tomatoes are worth a bushel of store bought IMO.

I ate my first on Saturday but squeezed out the seeds first for saving.

I've got cherry tomatoes (Mexico Midget) producing faster than I can use them. Some of them have self-planted from last year as well.
I'm also growing Crnkovic Yugoslavian tomatoes in my front yard, but so far they are still green. |
