Welcome to our forums! This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener! Wishing you great gardening, Jere Gettle |

There have been cases where the unpaid intern ends up reporting to the Dept of Labor and suing for back wages and benefits. It is a costly mistake to a farm use interns in a manner they aren't designed for. With that said, the rules are a little vague when it comes to something like farming, because of the fact that labor, experienced or newbie, is still labor and an immediate advantage. I'd like to see some exemptions.

Not about food. About employment issues. It is interesting. However, this thread is closed.
