That's terrible Lorna. Stupid laws they are preying on the elderly. If they have the tag on the mirror you get a ticket. if you forget to put it up which I believe anyone would do a lot you get a ticket. I'm sure the parking ticket is more than the driving ticket so maybe they are hoping they forget.

Cell phones are distracting, kamikaze drivers are distracting, the car that has the base so loud you can hear it with your windows rolled up and your radio on is distracting, eating while driving is distracting, reading the morining paper while driving is distracting, daydreaming is distracting.... that tag hanging there innocently is not distracting.....

LOL my daughter sees this one driver on her way to work every so often who is SHAVING! with the white cream on his face and everything!
What kind of dork is that? He needs to be pulled over and forced to reset his alarms for 1/2 hour earlier each day!And I have accidentally parked in the front parking spot of a lane only to find out when the snow was being removed that it was one of the yellow lined spaces ! It happens

Unfortunately, budgets are so tight in the police departments that they have ordered the officers to be stricter about writing tickets because the fines bring in the revenue that keeps the officers on the payroll. My son-in-law is writing more speeding tickets and issuing less warnings - but I doubt if he would ever issue a ticket for a handicapped tag on the dash or left hanging while driving. He respects and empathizes with people too much to do that.

I forgot to put the tag on the window at the va and got a little note. I don't think they can give for real tickets at the va, not sure.
Someone mentioned carts left in handicapped parking. Carts left anywhere irritate me. I'd like them all to be like Aldis, pay a quarter, get it back when you push the cart back in. You don't see carts in their parking lot. |
