Re: Google Bites

I've always considered nothing put on the net, even email, to be safe from snooping if one is determined to have something that is of value to the "snooper". Whether it's to target ads or to see if...

Re: UN: Only Small Sustainable Farms can Feed the World

Word games.

You say one thing and then try to make it sound other wise by qualifying it with words such as "greedy".

A profit is a profit, whether or not the amount is one you consider greedy...

Re: My Dog

I wouldn't worry much about it- young males can and sometimes do retain for awhile, plus he has been sick, too.

Unless there is a problem, I'd wait to neuter any male until most of the full growth...

Re: My Dog

Oh yes, we had a drawer for our keys after Tarbaby arrived to become the thief of "Bagdad", LOL.

Waldo still is not dropping that testicle at all?

Re: My Dog

Oh my, Waldo is a thinker, isn't he?!

One of my Dobes, Tarbaby, was such a thief that I accidentally limited what I could do with her later in obedience shows- I broke her of carrying things off...

Re: UN: Only Small Sustainable Farms can Feed the World

Well, it's a difference in opinion then- I simply took his words as he wrote them and posted them, no trying to change or make his statements fit anything else in any way.

BTW, if you make enough...

Re: Serallini study republished

It seems the cycle here on this has gotten really short- even the things discussed just two pages back in this very thread seem to have been forgotten already, LOL.

Re: UN: Only Small Sustainable Farms can Feed the World

Color and bold is mine.

You contradict yourself in the first paragraph and further on.

You ARE looking to "make money" and as to the rest of it, Ohio answered it rather well in terms of reality...

Re: UN: Only Small Sustainable Farms can Feed the World

I was guessing since you did not give an author's name or link- and still haven't, unless you are saying the U.N. as a singular body wrote that article?

The Title is just that- a title, not...

Re: Serallini study republished

Follow the money argument yet again- side stepping.

And you yourself proved the point- see bolded words in red.

This whole thing, like some of the other arguments you have posed on other...

Re: Pesticides Poison US Streams and rivers

Anything can pollute water ways- there is a river in Ohio, I think the Cuyahoga ( sp?)
river- that caught fire because of being so polluted.

Synthetic or organic things both can pollute if...

Re: How Wall Street's Robber Barons Are Exploiting America's Farmers

Assuming and accusing what of whom and where?

I ASKED if Ohio wrote it, and there was a question mark there, so that can't be what you are referring to, so what is rude about that post? Or are you...

Re: UN: Only Small Sustainable Farms can Feed the World

As far as Cuba goes, re food availibility and farming in that country, I think it's more important what the Cubans have to say about it than anyone else. <smile> They ARE the ones there, after all,...

How is my post rude?!!

I noted it was nice she made the correction and offered a tip about how to catch errors- like the "link dropping" that Ohio spoke of herself.

Since the...

Not the same at all.

And the new economics czar for Cuba just made a speech last week complaining about Cuba's small farms lack of productivity; that speech you can also look up on google or HT.

Re: UN: Only Small Sustainable Farms can Feed the World

Picking Cuba as an example is a poor choice- the food is still rationed, and no -there isn'rt enough of it still grown on the island, which is one reason Cuba is a big, big net importer for almost...
