I was trying to teach about epidermis colors and the difference in the taste factors with Indigo (Antho lines)

And Craig55 was backing me up Newfy.

As with any of the anthocyanin lines, most of the Black/Reds are quite bitter and leave an after taste.

Instead, look for the Black/Pinks. They taste much better, leave no after taste and...

I still really love the Flathead Monster, but I have an Orange Heirloom that I bought from a co-op a few years ago that has no name.

Soil temps need to be thought about too. Seedlings do not like cold feet.
70 to 75 is what you want it at. Maybe higher for certain other crops.
What all are you starting?

Thanks for that Carolyn... These seeds were sent to me, and I keep the best two seedlings, and just got lucky.
I had no idea they would show jointless. This plant is now a 'mother host' for a few...

Have it tested too, and that's long after you compost it. You can do a few container plants and see what they do, before using it in your main garden.
Its a great filler medium, but you still don't...
