California No 5 black-eyed peas hands down! They are the fastest growing and most prodigious producer peas I have grown. The plants get about 3’ tall. Got to give them plenty of room!

MV you are correct. July and August are pretty much no grow months. In fact about middle of June to middle of September are my garden down times then time to plant fall garden! Too hot and too...

That is Scout my little buddy. They seem to tolerate the heat very well. Their pen has a lot of oak trees in it and around and actually gets pretty well shaded in the summer.
