Re: RICK SANTORUM, THE REAL CONSERVATIVE

I'd like to know what it is you hope to accomplish. Abortions were performed long before they were legalized. Laws have never stopped any activity -- all they do is provide jurisdiction, and...

Re: A Conservative Explains Why Right-Wingers Have No Compassion

So are you trying to say that you believe we should bring our troops home?

Or that you have much to learn from Bacon?

Re: Chipotle Airs Anti-Factory Farm Ad During Grammy Awards...

Local, no, if we are to use the 100 or 150 miles definition... free ranged, yes. The larger cities of course don't have enough open land around them to feed their populations. That's why there's...

Re: A Conservative Explains Why Right-Wingers Have No Compassion

I suppose that's true. He certainly doesn't fit in with the GOP establishment.

I do, however, find it ironic that the typical "sanctity of life" proponent rarely extends the same courtesy...

Re: Monsanto blocks research on GMO safety

Uh...

Right there?

Except for the one problem we keep coming back to: where are the studies? I see you post gobs of links everywhere. I'm just asking you to link me to even one study on...

Re: Hippocratic oath

Indeed.

Cub Scouts can learn all sorts of emergency medicine -- stitching wounds, stopping bleeding, setting bones, performing CPR, saving drowning victims, diagnosing and treating shock,...

I'm keen to hear why you think yours is different than the other two establishment hacks.

Re: Monsanto blocks research on GMO safety

Very simply, yes. GE does things with genes that cannot be done with traditional plant breeding; that is what makes it different. Secondly, it is known fact that some GE crops are toxic to humans...

Re: What Conservatives Really Want

Nonsense. It's clear to anyone who can read what I did there, tongue firmly in cheek.

It does sound very much like the language of the Obama zombies, does it not?

Re: Monsanto blocks research on GMO safety

Conventional seeds have been "tested" for thousands of years already. I can't see any reason, for example, to test the safety of 5,000 year old wheat. Can you?

Re: how has obama's presidency benefitted you ?

We've had what, 5 new military incursions in 3 years? And those troops being pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan aren't coming home -- they're being pooled in Kuwait for yet another impending war...

Re: A Conservative Explains Why Right-Wingers Have No Compassion

There is a Republican establishment at the high level, to be sure. That explains why the bulk of their candidates are always the same -- Romney, Santorum, Gingrich... McCain... Palin... etc. That's...

Re: The Spark Behind the California Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act of

I'm glad you mentioned that. StarLink did make it into the human food supply, and made a lot of people sick, despite the "not for human consumption" tag.

Nor is there any logic in taking a...

Re: Monsanto blocks research on GMO safety

I'd think 25 years should be enough to determine cumulative effects. 3 separate tests performed by independent labs, per GMO variety, should be sufficient.

However, since my opinion carries no...

Re: The Spark Behind the California Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act of

Apparently Monsanto and the other biotechs don't see it as quite so innocuous. They're spending lots of millions on lawyers and ad campaigns to stop it.

If I was them, and I was really convinced...

Re: AG Holder . Stop sending guns to Mexico

A sting operation? I'm sorry, but over multiple federal agencies and numerous people involved, not a one thought it might be a bad idea to ship hundreds of thousands of automatic weapons to drug...

Re: Monsanto blocks research on GMO safety

To date, there have been precisely zero long term tests on health effects of GMOs to humans.

The laws and regulations pointed out by Imp thus amount to nothing more than fiat; a decree with no...

Re: The Founding Liberals

I am a liberal in the context of the Founders' time.

Today's left wing of the Uniparty is nothing of the sort -- liberal only with spending money. The right wing is no better. They have simply...

Re: Monsanto guilty of chemical poisoning in France

I'll just call it a case of a chem-war farmer getting what he deserves. He's already spraying poison on the food he's going to sell to the public. So what about all the consumers who are eating the...

Don't misunderstand me... I wasn't pointing that finger at any candidates, nor do I fear it as a political reality. Us heathens are just as well armed. :)

But rather, there are a few nutballs...

Now you are...
