My new garden - same location, different conditions

Hi folks! It's been a while, good to see some familiar faces around here.

I used to have a vegetable garden under tall loblolly pine trees, very shady, not very productive, but I still loved it....

Older leaves are definitely stronger.
My tree is huge, but I've had it 15 years and it's been in the ground over half that time. Never been picky for me about feedings.

With the leaner grass fed beef, you'll find some cuts that are normally fattier aren't and therefore don't cook up the same. The next time we get one I probably will have most of the roasts done up...

The dark was probably black tree ear fungus, you can buy it dried and reconstitute it too.

I would very much like some of that rain. We've been unusually hot and dry and there are wildfires everywhere. Feel free to pass some of that rain and cold down this way.

Tomatoes! How could I forget those! Mine can easily get up to 8ft and produce decently (again, same as the pole beans) in my filtered shade. Of everything I've tried though I think the cucumbers...

I've had decent luck with cucumbers in a bed that gets filtered shade. Not sure how tall they will get since I've only given them 4 ft so far. Same with sweet potatoes and they have beautiful...
