Re: Ban GMO Now!

Is this some sort of satire? If so, it's not very good at that, either.

If anyone paid anything for this so called "paper" ( money, magic beans, livestock shares in a future raw milking camel...

Re: New FDA Brewer's Grain Standards

If it is called "grass fed", why are they feeding anything but grass?

Re: Organic Standards Lowered for Livestock in Drought-Ridden California

There are several varieties of apples and cherries that can be grown in Arizona easily enough. Many of the state ag dept.'s have lists set up with varieties and chill hours needed- I could grow both...

Re: ID help

Looks almost like an older version of the Peace rose, but something is a bit off forit.

I can tell you without a doubt it IS a hybrid Tea; from the shape of the buds and flowers, that is certain....

Re: The Link between Nutrition and Mental health

From the OP article:

OP article is a bunch of garden compost at best, and at worse....well.

Of course, if one eats a decent diet, one feels better- but that is not dealing with mental...

Re: Should Sustainability be a Part of GMO Free Labeling?

Ghosts of GMO free Cheerios come to mind- activists insisted how they wanted them made free of gmo's, but the sales are tanking on them.

A lesson being learned and observed by many other companies...

Re: Should Sustainability be a Part of GMO Free Labeling?

So called "Organic" farming is not sustainable on a large scale. Of course, the "Organic" so called standards are lowered at whim.

Re: USDA continues to water down organic standards

Re: Musing on GMO Free Cheerios

Does anyone really care?

The anti's aren't supporting the product they said they wanted as is, they are too busy suing GM for the use of the word "Natural" to eat their Cheerio's.

Re: Do We Need a Meat Tax?

The remark about the Indians diet was funny- many are vegetarians, LOL.

And a meat tax here in the USA is so not going to happen- again, just another control issue thing.

Re: ‘Our Land’ Young Farmer Series

Be interesting to see how many owners will lease land in that manner. BTW, we used to just get the hay cut once a year and got the ag tax break- without the hassle of tenant farmers who might hard to...

Re: The EU Proposes Reforms to Organic Regs

Re: Organic Standards Lowered for Livestock in Drought-Ridden California

That is pretty much what I am getting at- the label means doodly squat. It's been devalued very badly and the consumers are getting smarter with their food dollars anymore.

I didn't imply...

Re: Musing on GMO Free Cheerios

Well, back to the subject, LOL, guess the anti's get what they want, but won't support it by buying the product they claimed they wanted.

Typical.

Re: 2012 Prelim Agriculture Census Results

BTW, wages are not falling.

Re: Organic Farmers Pay the Price for GMO Contamination

Where ever did you get the silly notion that gmo's were supposed to be "contributing to more people becoming farmers anywhere in the world"?!! That is just silly, though you can post what you want...
