My Uncle--WWII--Taught me so ,many things--decimated,--died at 36 yrs .

I was a catcher with a wicked quick release and accuracy.
Played some 3B & SS also.
Loved throwing guys out.
At that time, when I took the mound it was "Here is my fastball. Guess where it is and hit it if you can." That didn't always work out though.
Loved it when my guys would complain about how hard I threw and how they could here the ball "Sizzling" as it approached................them days is long gone though.

How work? SIL machinist --they got another contract rebuilding the Railroads diesel electrics--they have to haul some in on flatbed 18 wheelers.

Guy in the neighborhood, threw so hard and fast only one guy would catch for him.

2nd fastball raised a blister, the third popped it--course most of the equipment we had was worn out hand me downs.
