Welcome to our forums!
This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener!
Wishing you great gardening,

Wow, you really serious about purple food! I'm sad to report that about a third or more of the purple corn snapped in half after a rain storm. The stalks seem to be brittle. I don't know if something is missing in the soil or what the problem is. I had strung twine around it when it was much smaller because an animal had eaten the lower leaves which caused it to turn over. Today I put up 10 ft pipes and ran more twine up higher. I hope it saves the rest. We are supposed to get more wind and rain today. I have never heard of purple peas and what is mizuna?
Planted purple runners last year, the yeat before that royalty purple pod(bush) This year doing purple peas, purple mizuna, tomatillas and Cosmic purple carrots as well as purple haze. Oh yes did the purple cauliflower, purple bell peppers and Early sprouting purple broccoli. LOL!! I do grow alot of conventional veg, especially maters. Let me know how the corn turns out.
Hi purple plant planter. What purple plants do you grow? The purple corn stalks are now 10-12 ft tall and starting to tassel but isn't making corn yet. I have found lots of exciting info online about the nutritional value of this corn
