See, I'm in here so seldom these days I wasn't sure if you were still around or not when I bumped the terra preta thread just now.

Didja' know that by making the bio char AND the Compost,,, there are means by which it will create power for you in a number of ways?

Thanks Izzy. We were evacuated and haven't been able to return yet, but we are all safe and our house still stands. The yard was scorched but I don't know if the garden was hit yet or not. It's very sad here but also heartening because the community is really pulling together. Anxiously awaiting when we can return!

If you need any seed for field peas try cooperseeds.com. I have ordered from then and have had good service. They also have a fantastic sweet corn called Serendipity the best I have ever grown also there prices are lower then any place I have found.

Thanks for the post reminding me to get cuttings. I cut 3 from the mater, and have them in water now trying to get some roots on them.
