My interest will be back for football by Fall I'm sure! It's snowed in Mobile, maybe 3-4 times that I can remember, just sprinklings, but geez, what a nightmare. My house is built off the ground so we have to drip the water any time it gets below freezing so the pipes don't burst. Thankfully it's been pretty warm this year. As for the trellis it's going to be for the kiwis. I have heard they get to be HUGE so I'm trying to start them off right. Good luck with your Meyer Lemons. I never knew you could get them to grow from seed. I always assumed you had to get them grafted or something.

We missed a few football games too unfortunately. I enter the picks for Kev and me but I lost interest (prob bc of my sucky picks this season lol.) My garden is going much better now, tulips are blooming, fava beans are kicking butt, collards planted, lots of lettuce and radishes, we are finishing up the oranges and kumquats. I started my tomatoes/peppers/cukes/eggplants last week, a little late but it should be ok. I planted some sugar snaps several weeks ago but they still haven't germinated.

We're finally putting in some trellises so I can grow hardy kiwi! I've been wanting to try growing them for years now, but each plant requires a support strong enough to hold 300lbs. We've got the material to build one of these t-bar trellis; hopefully we can get 4 more up before April. I want to try growing muscadines next.

Are you planting anything yet or is it still too cold up there?
