How rude of me. I'm sorry, I haven't checked in here since last fall. Please take no offense. The flower in my picture is actually wild. I took the photos at a local lake -Its just a water lily Nymphaea odorata, but isn't it just beautiful!
I believe it is best planted by tubers, but I can't be sure. I think its also illegal to transplant from the wild - not sure, I haven't tried. I just take pictures :-)

I don't try winter stuff but very early spring works .
A planting of lettuce or any of the cole crops ( cabbage family )might work about now.

Hi yummy--my bean crop almost crashed last year. Bush did horrible and poles almost as bad. Gonna try Turkey Craw from Seed Savers this year.
