Welcome to our forums!
This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener!
Wishing you great gardening,
Jere Gettle
bah, I started a punkin in feb and it is only now settin fruit. none of my mellons have fruit yet and only some have flowers so far. It is only now gettin hot, so I would let them go. I figure beets would get woody in this heat, no?
I started some but I think I started it to late. they are not doing much no flowers no melons, I may pull them and start some beets or something. I dont think there is enough time left in our season to get anything from them .
We live near Charleston WV back in the hills. Our weather is similar to Beckly WV weather...it can get very cold here in the winter. We love it here and wouldn't trade it for the world.
