    Hey, Brad--sounds like a good weekend...gotta love family dinners and church covered dish suppers! Our church's Homecoming is in a few weeks...always a BIG dinner after that. The torta sounds *really* good, do you mind posting the recipe or sending it in email? I'd love something a little different desert-wise to offer for Thanksgiving.

    What kind of pumpkins and carrots? I've had horrible luck with carrots so far this season...very few Dragon Purple have germinated, the others look like they're growing on top of the soil. May have to sow again, I guess. Tons of bunny poop in the garden getting ready for melons/squash/toms next spring. Fingers crossed! :-)
