I found the description and a pic online last night, TY. It is a buff coloured, thick walled squash but the pic was a cut out of the centre with seeds and flesh. The shape appears to be more heart shaped than flattened. Nice looking. I really like heavy ribbing and buff coloured skin on winter squash.

    Have a Wonderful Day, Gulf!

Gulf, Thanks for letting me know. I planted 5 seeds this afternoon indoors. If they don't germinate it's no biggie. I have lots of squash seeds and lots of time yet to germinate them. I can't plant them outdoors until Memorial Day weekend.

I don't recall what Texas Indian looks like. Now I have to go find out!

    HI GCC,

How are you? Hope all is well...
Um, Redneck said that the Fortna seeds are slow to germinate? How long have you been waiting?
I'm planting some tonight (indoors). Going to advise how long it takes. Just thought I would let you know.

Yeah, new friend, planting is going well, just finishing up today. My gardens are just now going in, but we planted Beth's gardens on my last trip down there when we saw ya'. She's been offshore, and I've been up here in Petal, so neither of us has gotten to check out the progress, but the old fella' across the street from her keeps the gardens watered.

The stuff you gave us is doing well. One of the eggplants looked iffy after the transplant, but perked right back up.

Hope your projects are coming along well, too, give a shout when you're in the Hattiesburg area again.
