Space, I recall you asking about how to find Joe E Parker peppers, did you ever locate some? I found seeds at Tomato Growers Supply if you're still interested. I have one plant that is a year and a half old and it has been the most productive pepper I've ever grown, and produced like mad all summer and still loading up. If you're looking for production this one is great. Good luck, cooling off down there yet? Not here, we're still burning up.

Sorry to hear the Krims root system wasn't up to the heat. I did notice that in the main garden (full sun), no Krim plant set fruit before we got too hot for good germination. In the front (shielded from morning sun), I had two plants, and they set some fruit. I intended to see how they fared in the fall, till the soaking we rec'd killed almost all tomato plants. The 2 in the front may survive, it's still dicey. I'm trying to keep much better notes this season, and have already found them very helpful. I intend to bump up my grow light system for next spring and try to get mine started earlier as well, to try to increase fruiting before the heat sets in.

Hey Space, did you ever had any luck with the Black Krim after the bad soil episode on the blacks. Wasn't sure if you were doing an immediate re-seed or waiting to seed in future. I THINK I remember that you hadn't had any luck with Black Krim germination, but could be wrong. Just curious.

They were Butternut Violina and old so they might not sprout. But you wouldn't have received them untill near the end of April. You didn't send me your address till April 19th, I didn't dawdle but there was still a little mailing time involved.

I came across this site and thought you might like to check it out. It's a place where people can sell their homemade food goods. They have a whole section for spices and seasoning so it might be perfect for your Zap It spice mix.

I just save seeds from year to year and usually have plenty to share. I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your entrance, I have taken pictures just haven't figured out how to post them yet. Thinking bigger and bigger unhealthy? We've all got that disease!
