Welcome to our forums!
This online gardening community is different, political, and organic. I decided to start these forums so gardeners would have a free place to discuss heirloom gardening, gene-altered food, seed saving, natural politics and products. We are dedicated to saving our food and horticultural heritage, and hope you enjoy this forum for the free-thinking gardener!
Wishing you great gardening,
Jere Gettle

Hey girlie, sorry I didn't see this earlier. Go to www.birdsandblooms.com and you can get on Community and then forums and there are all kinds of stuff to get on and chat daily. When you say Wendy, what is her screen name?
Are you serious, will there be that much bug loss? I had a bumper crop of beets last year (did a whole row and thought I'd be canning forever getting them all put up) but I'm just a single person so don't plant a whole lot of one thing since I just have a 16 x 25 garden. I gave up on turnips, they turn out bitter for some reason but grow impressively HUGE. LOL Maybe its the high humidity and heat we get in summer (well most summers).
