I see where Clénay is -my best friend lives in Flacey. Glad to hear spring is making its way to you. How do you like it so far? If you don't know about it yet, you have to find your way to le Parrain Généreux (aka Chocolaterie Fabrice Gilotte) on rue du Bourg in downtown Dijon during the summer months: he makes the most wonderful sorbets. The rhubarb and cerise griotte are my favorite. To die for!
My husband, my son and I will be visiting around Easter (my parents are in Longecourt-en-plaine now, that's south of you) -any small thing you need from the U.S of A?
Monkey Bird -- I'm in the mostly in the village of Clénay (10 km or so to the north of Dijon). My wife spent most of her teen years here, though, in our apt in Dijon.
Weather here is just starting to turn, had a gorgeous day yesterday. No freezes forseen this week (still have the heater in the greenhouse on stadby, just in case, though!)
Hey Maelstrom! I couldn't believe it when I saw you were in Dijon: that's where I was born and raised! I hear it's pretty cold there right now... Are you in Dijon proper or somewhere near?
Yeah, moved the family over here back in the end of July. My wife is French, all the kids speak French, and I've been promising my wife for years we'd move back for awhile. Loving it here thus far!
