Hi Train,
Well, I planted a lot of watermelon this year and 15 of them drowned in the 11 inches of rain we had a while back. I planted 4 at the house and now down to 3...I have blooms but no melons yet. Do you think there is a chance I might have at least one before freeze? I gave my coworker 4 watermeleon plants I started and he has 3 orangeglo and 1 ali baba melons now looking like they are ready to pick. He showed me last friday. I was going to take a picture but It was so hot and skeeters were after me.

Hey Train, I was remembering all the troubles you had with your mellons this year, and was wondering if you ever ended up getting one what with the yard crew, and the critter? I harvested my first ripe watermelon ever yesterday. It was on the M&S vine, but it had no spots. This monster was every bit the size of a softball. Lol. It was ripe and it was sweet. But a taste is all everyone got. As it stands now, there are no other melons on the vine, but it is healthy and blooming, so maybe I'll get lucky with another one before it's over.

It is good to hear from you! Well, looks like the tomato garden is winding down. I have A Lot of stink bugs and everytime I go out there I swear they are fornicating and making more stink bugs. Yuck. Anyways pole beans are real green and got lots of blooms but no green beans. Well, I have 2 green beans actually. How are you???
