Anyone have mystery seeds in their stash? I sure do. Decided to start a thread for help in figuring out just exactly what these things are.

I have 2 strange seeds from the Phillipines a friend left for me - I don't have any idea where he is now - just pops in from time to time (globetrotter). Well, duh, he left no info about them, but from the looks of it, I'm guessing it may be a fruit of sorts.

I'll try to post a pic of the seeds. Anyone know someone who is familiar with the Phillipines and/or native plants from there? Mabe someone who was there in the military? Sure would hate to waste them by handling them improperly.

yea I do they are squash of some sort or pumpkins .. I don't know.. but I want to plant some or give them to someone so they can tell me what they are

Alrighty - I finally got a good pic - so you can actually see the characteristics of the seeds, but then I found out you need to create an album to post pics to this group! Waaaa! I'll try to do something with it tomorrow - need to go accross town and pick up my dd from work.

well this is what happened ... a friend on myspace asked if I wanted white pumpkin seeds .. I said yea sure .. well I planted some and they died , I bought a plant at the local green house and planted it and it turned out it was a musk melon... so then I started thinkin... did that first plant really die?? Did the greenhouse sell me the wrong stuff?? I have not been able to talk to the girl that sent me them so I just call them mystery seeds... Maby next year i'll plant some or send them to someone eles...

I have some squash seeds from a good buddy of mine. I know what they are, but you can't find them here. They are from Italy I think. He calls them Adaparzarri Squash. I think there is a area in Italy by that name. I haven't had a chance to grow them yet. He sends me all kinds of different stuff. He's the same fellow that gas the Insuk Wang Kong beans.
